Chaplain Callixtus and his squad weaved gracefully through curtains of flak as they approached the blasphemous temple from above. Callixtus' voice thundered into his vox-link. "All squads, report."
Static hissed as distant explosions were amplified in stereo. "This is Severian of Shroud Squad, in position."
"Brother-Sergeant Lucerius, Grail Squad. We are in position and awaiting orders."
An ancient fury uncoiled deep in Callixtus' breast as the silhouette of a ziggurat broke the horizon. He repeated the Litany Against Obsession to soothe his mind as a third voice crackled in his helmet.
"Brother-Chaplain, this is Sergeant Marcellus of Crown Squad. We have made visual contact with the enemy. What are your orders?"
There was a moment of silence as the chaplain completed the litany. "Punish them."

# Alex has had to leave the tournament (sudden reserves deployment
to Haiti), so Joe filled in for a proxy game. Following the bye
rules, the odd player gets two Minor Victories by default and
keeps whatever else they earn. In this case Buford will be scored
as 1 Minor Victory, 1 Major Victory, and 3 Bonus Points. He won't
get another bye, and Joe shouldn't proxy again (the latter is not
critical). The bye will always be the low ranked player. For the
final two rounds @ PAGE we will have someone not in the tournament
