Kill Team Tuesday Tournament
6:30pm, Tuesday, May 7
$5 entry, all to store credit prizes
Join us for the first tournament in what we plan to be monthly weekday evening organized Kill Team events, both competitive and narrative! Entry is $5 on-site, all going to store credit prizes. This is a casual tournament and beginners are very welcome.
Links to Kill Team FAQs, roster spreadsheets, tokens, and other resources are collected here.
There will be three round of one hour each. First round pairings will be random, subsequent rounds Swiss.
To keep the event from running all night, everybody must be prompt and play at a reasonable pace. Players should arrive by 6:30pm and get their squad unpacked. Registration closes at 6:40pm with first round pairings announced and dice rolling by 6:45pm. Rounds will be held to a sharp 1 hour time limit. Players may not begin a new Battle Round after 50 minutes have elapsed.
Players may bring two 100pt army lists, both of the same faction. Commanders are not permitted. You choose which list to field each match after your opponent and table is determined. Please note that these are each to be complete, valid army lists---for expediency we are not mustering from Command Rosters.
The following sources for factions, units, and tactics are in play:
- Kill Team Core Manual
- Rogue Trader (Gellerpox Infected and Elucidian Starstriders)
- Blackstone Fortress (Servants of the Abyss & Imperium characters)
- White Dwarf January 2019 (Kroot Mercenaries)
If other factions or units are released, i.e., in Kill Team Elites, White Dwarf, or other sources, they will likely be permitted. The primary restriction here is that tactics cards from the starter sets, kill zone boxes, and other sources are not valid.
Models need not be painted, but it is highly encouraged they be at least color primed.
Missions will be worked out during Kill Team open play at Redcap's on Tuesday evenings in the leadup to this event. Come out and join us in a communal design process! They are expected to be similar to those in the NOVA 2018 and Kill Team Arena packets. Copies of each are available for open play at Redcap's (NOVA packet is on the wall in the wargaming space along with other KT resources, as well as online, and a store copy of Arena is available to borrow from the front desk).
There will be no Ultra-Close Confines battles in this event.
