space marine question

Hi, I was looking at the salamanders legion trait and it seemed a little confusing to me. Do you get to re-roll one hit and one wound in both the shooting and fight phases or just in one or the other? Thanks

Both phases unless I'm very mistaken. It's a pretty good tactic.

It does seem very strong. An enormous savings on command points which I mostly use for a re-roll anyway. I guess the strength of ultramarines with a primarch overshadows this trait so you don't really see it being used. Makes a power weapon on a sarge something to think about adding to your squads. Their low number of attacks leads to hitting not very often which makes it too expensive normally. With a natural re-roll it changes the math a lot.
