DeathWatch RPG

Post by EL Presidente!!!! » Mon Jun 06, 2011 4:30 pm

I REALLY want to start running a new campaign in the DeathWatch FFG system. Unfortunately, I'm out of Sunday's :x

Who would be interested in a monthly campaign? I'm open to running it at Glenside, 7th Dimension Games (pending their new location) or at Repcaps...whatever works for the players. Shout out if you're interested.

Right now I have one (1) player - looking for a minimum of three (3), maximum of five (5).

Lovell

Justin - I know that 1 player is you, but feel free to encourage others to joiun you in your quest agains the Xenos

I'd really, really like to try this game out, but sadly, I think Sundays are really the only days I can do it. Best of luck!

I'd still really like to try out this RPG. I know you're busy with Star Wars, Lovell, but I'm still very interested in this game. Is there any chance in running it one Sunday a month, maybe sometime down the road? Or is a one-time adventure reasonable at all?

Jason,

I'm bringing the game to PAGE!!!! I think I'm going to put the Star Wars Game on hold for a while. Probably starting holding the last game in August. So If I can get a forth or better yet a fifth player, I'll bring the DeathWatch RPG to PAGE CC starting in September.

Right now Justin is playing a Space Wolf Psyker and Akil has a Techmarine of some sort. Below are some useful links, one of which is an introductory PDF. The YouTube video is also really good.

http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/ffg_c ... nction.pdf
http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/ffg_c ... 20v1-1.pdf

I started running a game at home, but wanted to run it with some 40K veterans who might be able to "sink in" to the genre more easily. I have a copy of all of the books
- Deathwatch
- Rites of Battle
- Mark of the Xenos (new)
- The Emperor Protects (campaign book)

I also have some Dark Heresy Books
- Dark Heresy
- Creatures Anathema
- Blood of the Martyrs

I use the Dark Heresy books to get more materials (e.g. Sisters of Battle and Eldar stats). I think the books are of EXTEREMLY high quality (great reading, good graphics, well organized) but for RPG books, I find them to be expensive (the basic books is $60). No way I'd buy them without the discount - which is full since they are produced by Fantasy Flight and not Games Workshop. Although I have not yet perfected my understanding of the system, right now, this is HANDS DOWN the best RPG game that bridges to gaming formats (miniature - RPG).

I am in full support of Jason making an Apothecary as I feel his talents will be necessary for our continued survival. :)

Now that we're approaching September, do we have any idea of a date for this?
