Joe - I will bring two tables. I'm going to try and drop them off today if that's ok.

We survived another Apocalypse! Well, probably. No one's seen Lovell since he went off to cry over his Uplifting Primer after his Crassus Armored Transport and all 35 brave Guardsmen inside were blown up in the top of Turn 1. Hashtag time to practice deployment strategies

Thank you for all of the hard work, Joe (and team). That was my first Apocalypse game and it was well-worth the drive. I'll look forward to next year!

I agree with the point about spreading out forces too much (guilty as charged). Maybe no deployment of deep strikers, reserves, or infiltrators more than 3 lateral feet from your deployment zone? That would give you 8' of table to play on rather than 18'.

I would say that the Loyalist loss was caused entirely by the Traitor Secret Servitor campaign distracting our forges from painting Black Knights.

I think the bigger issue was having too many models per player, which I think the 3/4000 point proposal handles nicely. This could be further dialed in by going to regular 7e scoring, which would make troops less critical, although still vitally important with ObjSec. Finally, I think gently encouraging players to not spread out by only allowing their units to control their secondary objective (although anyone can contest) would be easier and almost as effective.

As far as out of game effects carrying over into the outcome of the game, Order definitely sent some Assassins to take out a couple of key Discord warlords. Fortunately we were able to respond with a contagion of Nurgle's Rot to lay low a couple of Order commanders.

I'm still having a problem finding the "small"....... X-Wing....... deployment zone

Congrats guys, another well run event (sorry I missed it). Great batrep + photos too. :!:

I think the "there's too many small models on the table issue" would be solved by my..............2 Warhounds + 2 Reavers :!: :!:
